The only bit of bad weather all weekend and we get it. Oh well it didn't stop us as we dead headed the daffodils and tidied up.
Tha birds have apparently been flocking to their new haven and have eaten all the seed.
Visitors have been commenting on how lovely the garden is so we just need further funds to continue with planting for the summer.
Nottingham Rotaract are working with the Ear Foundation; they are a charity based in Lenton who work with people of all ages to help transform the lives of deaf people. Since October 2010 Rotaract have planted bulbs and cleaned up the patio area so that those using the accommodation can benefit from somewhere to relax and retreat to whilst using services at the Ear Foundation or when family members are receiving treatment. We hope to continue this work with your help...

Garden Open Day
What a fantastic day, the sun was shining and everything went as planned.
We had lots of cake, a tombola, an easter egg hunt and book sale.
A great way to celebrate the work we have done on the garden and to share it with others. Thanks to the mayor the evening post and everyone else who came along and made it a really successful event.

final prep
On Sunday we all got together to do some final prep on the garden before the open day this Saturday.
So we jet washed, weeded, tied up plants, put up the bird boxes and generally made it all look lovely!
Hope to see as many of you as possible at the weekend.

Jet washing!
Waterproofed up we got set to jet wash; the transformation was incredible. Everything was washed from chess pieces to patios and furniture.
We were absolutely thrilled that our bulbs had started to grow and that it is really taking shape.

Planting
John Clifford from Wollaton Rotary Club had been growing lots of lovely plants for us so with his help we planted them, a bit warmer than our last visit
Snow!
Following a fantastic donation of 500 daffodil bulbs by Nottingham Council Fran and Helen brave the cold to dig the bulbs in!
In the beginning!
We started work on the garden back in October 2010 at this stage the garden was run down and in need of attention.
Our first job was to clear the leaves and plant 700 bulbs!
These were everything from crocus', daffodils, iris' and tulips in the hope that we would have a fantastic show of colour in the spring.
