Brrrr!

A cold but sunny day, we cleared up the leaves again! and piled them up ready for the arrival or the leaf composter that Bethan is constructing.

The bulbs are starting to come and the new gnome has arrived!

More bulbs!

Thanks to Nottingham in Bloom who donated 555 tulip bulbs we were digging again!
TEF have also now installed a wendy house for the children which looks lovely.

If it goes to plan then we should have purple, red/orange tulips and a variety of daffodils.

Planting bulbs

A lovely sunny day for gardening!
Leaves everywhere as usual so we started out by tidying up.
In preparation for the garden open day next year we planted 350 bulbs, there is now a right selection of slides, one for all sizes!

Bethan took the leaves away for composting so everything is nice and tidy.

Ooh look at those lovely boots fran! Nice look going off from Francois!

Some of the pansies are still growing

New slide

Today we had a new slide to add to the garden very kindly donated by Noel and Pam from Sherwood Sunrisers Rotary club.

The sunshine was out so we continued to sweep and tidy. Next time we will be putting in the bulbs ready for the spring time. The birds looked happy as we left to see their food had been filled up!

The other garden!

We worked on the other garden out the back today, it had about 5mm off moss growing all over the paving so we jet washed and weeded and are quite impressed with our efforts!

First thing this morning...

...2:30pm!

Time for a shower as I smell like a pond!

Sunshine at last!

A lovely morning for gardening with the sunshine out and some music to give us a bit of a boost-although christmas songs were a bit strange!

There were 10 of us so tidying up didn't take us long and gave the committee chance to get together afterwards for a 4 hour meeting!

Just need to find some more shade loving plants so that they will grow well under the trees

Either the birds have gone on their holidays or a mystery person has filled up this seed!
If anyone has anything they would like to donate to the garden then please contact us.

We have plants!

Thanks to Matt and Floralands we have around 25 plants to put in along with others that Rotaractors donated and that John Clifford had grown for us, so we can bring some color to the garden.
Archie the gnome has died in a tragic accident so we were all very sad and need an Archie II!

Some of the seeds we planted have started to grow so hopefully next time we visit things will be a bit more established. If you have any plants to donate then please contact us nottsrotaract@hotmail.co.uk
